Photography captures intimate views that sometimes yield abstract images. Photography offers visions that at a quick glance might be overlooked. While representing life’s enduring spirituality and sense of mystery, the images themselves are fleeting—a shadow that disappears moments after the shutter clicks; lighting effects created by the ever changing angle of the sun. These constant changes in our world remind us to savor life’s special moments as they happen.

The Eye of the Photographer
Someday soon someone will ask, Why did you become a photographer?
...and you will answer !___________________________________________________
The Eye of the Photographer
Someday soon someone will ask, Why did you become a photographer?
I became a photographer because it involved me and the entire world around me.
I became a photographer because it provided me with food for my soul... and bread for my table.
I became a photographer because it enabled me to observe the human condition and to record the parade of human events.
I have seen the land of the free and the home of the brave.
I have seen the beginning of life and the end.
I have seen my neighbors across the street and across the world.
I have recorded the hand of man as he builds and as he destroys.
I have photographed smiles and tears.
I have photographed innocence and sophistication.
I have photographed body and soul.
I have photographed men at work and at play.
I have photographed the wonders of nature and of man.
I have photographed beautiful things and beautiful people.
I have seen and recorded the world through my own eyes.
I am a photographer.

Picture worth a thousand words !
Here's a shot of my daughter Erica when she was about 2 years old back in 1985.
I guess she really didn't know what to make of the monkey in front of her. The adage "A picture is worth a thousand words" is certainly appropriate here !
Strike a Pose
My daughter Cristina posing for the shot. Photo was taken at the famous Tiki Bar - Islamorada, Florida
The Old Water Pitcher
This shot was also captured back in the 80's as was the vizacaya photo below. The Barnacle located in Coconut Grove, Florida is a popular attraction for locals and tourist alike. This shot was also taken on Kodak Tri-X film and later manipulated after the scan.

Viscaya - Miami, Florida

Watercolor Photo Effect
During a photo shoot for a custom motorcycle builder (Orta Motorcycles) several years back I zoomed in on the models face and got this shot. At the time I had recently acquired a new photo editing program and while doing some test on the watercolorcolor effect, this is what I came up with. I was extremely pleased with the resulting image and have used it many times since.
Old Desoto - Door County, Wisconsin
During one of my visits to Door County, Wisconsin I found this old Desoto in a nearby farm on the side the road. I had seen this car many times but didn't have my camera with me on the first few visits. I finally captured the image in late fall of 2005. I converted the image to B&W so as to give the photo an old time feel.
To Order This Print ID:desoto Price $99.95 Color or B&W Size: 24X32
